Primary structure of murine red blood cell-type pyruvate kinase (PK) and molecular characterization of PK deficiency identified in the CBA strain [PDF]

Abstract To clarify the molecular abnormality of pyruvate kinase (PK) deficiency identified in the mutant mice of CBA-Pk-1slc/Pk-1slc, we cloned murine red blood cell-type PK (R-PK) cDNA of those animals. The cDNA sequence spans 1827 bp, including an open reading frame that can encode 574 amino acids.

The noncluster homeobox gene HOX11/TLX1 (TLX1) is detected at the breakpoint of the t(10;14)(q24;q11) chromosome translocation in patients with T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). This translocation results in the inappropriate expression of TLX1 in T cells.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks.
