Planar dielectric disk antennas
2004 14th International Crimean Conference "Microwave and Telecommunication Technology" (IEEE Cat. No.04EX843), 2004The results of experimental investigations of planar dielectric disk antennas with different substrates and radiating elements are presented. Geometric and electromagnetic parameters of antenna prototypes are selected in accordance with theoretical calculations.

Ultrawideband planar antennas and antenna arrays
2012 6th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals, 2012The paper presents analysis of signals and planar monopole pulse antennas and antenna arrays designed for work in ultrawideband (UWB) frequency band 3.1–10.6GHz. A complex approach to design, synthesis and optimization of UWB antennas is proposed. Frequency and time characteristics of UWB signals, designed single and two-element antennas, results of ...

Proceedings of MILCOM '95, 2002
Multiband operation of planar and phased array antennas is becoming increasingly important in both military and commercial communications due to the need for flexibility in meeting a number of operational SATCOM requirements. With today's technology, multiband operation requires changing antenna feed components and so hinders rapid changeover to ...

Proceedings of International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques, 1995
The effect of the transformation of a non-homogeneous plane wave into a space one is gaining a wider application in antenna techniques. A planar dielectric waveguide is used as a source of non-homogeneous plane wave. The transformation of a slow surface-wave mode into a space wave is realized by using a diffraction grating.

Planar wideband antennas [PDF]
Wideband antennas with omnidirectional coverage have both military and commercial applications. In one embodiment, the Planar Inverted Cone Antenna (PICA) is composed of a single flat element vertically mounted above a ground plane. A geometry of Planar Inverted Cone Antenna (PICA) is based on the conventional circular-disc antenna with trimmed top ...

Printable Planar Dielectric Antennas
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2016Thick film screen-printing technology is employed to introduce planar dielectric antennas. The micron-size-thick film is made from high-permittivity dielectric paste, which is printed on a low-loss low-permittivity microwave substrate to operate as a magnetic wall boundary.

Multiresonance planar patch antenna
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005A wideband compact microstrip antenna is designed using the method of moments (MoM) and experimentally evaluated. The VSWR bandwidth of the antenna is more than 90%, while its gain is above 2 dBi. The mechanism of operation of the antenna is also explained. The main advantage of this antenna is its wide impedance bandwidth. The limitation of the design

Planar Terahertz Antenna Optimisation
IEEE/ACES International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applied Computational Electromagnetics, 2005., 2005The presented antennas make use of advanced technologies such as low-temperature molecular beam epitaxy and micromachining for optimised antenna performance in the THz frequency range with respect to the specific requirements. Sophisticated technology in combination with state-of-the-art computational electromagnetic CAD software has been utilised to ...

Arbitrarily polarized planar antennas
IRE International Convention Record, 2005This paper describes the analysis and design of a class of antennas which can radiate and receive constant shape pencil beams with either circular sense, any linear, or elliptical polarization by a simple adjustment in the feed circuit. Such radiators are called arbitrarily polarized antennas.
