Radiation Analysis and Characteristics of Conformal Reflectarray Antennas
This paper investigates the feasibility of designing reflectarray antennas on conformal surfaces. A generalized analysis approach is presented that can be applied to compute the radiation performance of conformal reflectarray antennas.

Comparison Analysis of Single Loop Resonator Based Miniaturized Triple-Band Planar Monopole Antennas
We systemically analyze and discuss a group of miniaturized triple-band planar monopole antennas by integrating with a single loop resonator (SLR) as part of the radiation patch.

New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Square planar monopole antenna [PDF]
A broadband square monopole antenna is investigated, showing a constant radiation pattern over the impedance bandwidth. A simple formula for the frequency corresponding to the lower edge of the impedance bandwidth, which has an accuracy of ±8.5% over the frequency range 1 GHz to 6 GHz, is proposed. The effect of the feedgap distance is examined.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Antenna design of temperature measurement system based on SAW temperature sensor
In order to measure the junction temperature of power equipment, a novel strategy of temperature measurement based on surface acoustic wave passive wireless temperature sensor is designed. The antennas and the matching methods of antennas and sensors are

Miniaturization of palanar antennas based on metamaterials for 5G and WIMAX communications applications [PDF]
The objective of this work is the design and simulation of an antenna based on metamaterials in order to miniaturize the initial dimensions of the planar antennas. Metamaterials are on the rise in recent years.

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.
