Planar Curve Representation of Many-Body Systems and Dynamics
Physical Review Letters, 1997Summary: A method is introduced to represent many-body systems of arbitrary dimensionality by planar curves. The positions and momenta of the particles are the parameters of a time-dependent nonlinear transformation, which maps the many-body dynamics of the real system to the motion of the curve.

COLORFUL PATTERNS WITH DISCRETE PLANAR SYMMETRIES FROM DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS
Fractals, 2010Automatic generation of colored patterns with discrete planar symmetries is considered from a dynamical system's point of view. Invariant mappings with such symmetries are constructed to serve as the density functions for the generation of colorful images.

Hybrid dynamic model for haptic systems with planar mechanisms
2013 6th IEEE Conference on Robotics, Automation and Mechatronics (RAM), 2013The aim of this paper is to present a new partitioning method for solving the equation of motion of a planar mechanism with more than one degree of freedom, using a hybrid dynamic model. The procedure is according to the Newton-Euler formalism with Lagrange equations and can be used in the case that some of the applied forces acting on the elements of ...

Dynamic calibration of a structured light system via planar motion
2005 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2005Active vision is widely used in robotics. However, it should be calibrated carefully before a vision task. In this paper, we propose a closed-form solution for dynamic calibration and 3D reconstruction using structured light system. In this system, we assume that the light planes cast from the DLP projector are calibrated and kept constant while the ...

Dynamical Systems and Planar Autonomous Equations
2014Basic concepts for dynamical systems are introduced. The Poincare–Bendixson theorem is proved and used to study the existence and orbital stability of periodic solutions for planar equations. Invariant manifolds for n-dimensional nonlinear equations are investigated.

INTEGRATION-FREE ANALYSIS OF NONSMOOTH LOCAL DYNAMICS IN PLANAR FILIPPOV SYSTEMS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2009In this paper, we present a novel method to analyze the behavior of discontinuous piecewise-smooth autonomous systems (denominated Filippov systems) in the planar neighborhood of the discontinuity boundary (DB). The method uses the evaluation of the vector fields on DB to analyze the nonsmooth local dynamics of the Filippov system without the ...

Fractal Control of Planar Complex Dynamical Systems
2018Until now, there are lots of outcomes about fractal basic theory, especially for the studies of Julia sets in fractal. However, the focus of their discussions are on the drawing of graphics and qualitative characters of Julia sets for various types of functions.

Planar dynamics and control of tethered satellite systems
2009A mathematical model is developed for studying the inplane dynamics and control of tethered two-body systems in a Keplerian orbit. The formulation accounts for: • elastic deformation of the tether in both the longitudinal and inplane trans- verse directions; • inplane libration of the flexible tether as well as the rigid platform; • time dependent ...

Dynamics of planar and spatial rigid-body systems
2002In this chapter the equations of spatial and planar motion of unconstrained rigid bodies will be derived based on the laws of Newton and Euler (such as in standard textbooks like [44], [56], [57], [58], [59], [60], [61], [62], [63], [64], [65]). The equations of motion will be written with respect to a general body-fixed reference point P i (P i ≠ C i ,
