Dynamics of planetary atmospheres [PDF]
The overall goal is to illuminate the mechanisms that control weather and climate on the Earth and other planets. Each planet presents its own puzzling behavior - the stability of jets and vortices in Jupiter's otherwise turbulent atmosphere, the ...

The planetary mass-radius diagram is an observational result of central importance to understand planet formation. We present an updated version of our planet formation model based on the core accretion paradigm which allows to calculate planetary radii ...

The topology of non-linear global carbon dynamics: from tipping points to planetary boundaries
We present a minimal model of land use and carbon cycle dynamics and use it to explore the relationship between non-linear dynamics and planetary boundaries.

A simple strategy is presented for bonding acrylic PSAs and silicone elastomers by curing surfactant‐doped Ecoflex on oxygen‐plasma‐treated VHB. The interface reaches a maximum strength of 1.6 N/mm (over 20 times that of the control) while retaining material compliance.

Planetary ring dynamics and morphology [PDF]
Evidence for a moonlet belt in the region between Saturn's close-in moonrings Pandora and Prometheus is discussed. It is argued that little-known observations of magnetospheric electron density by Pioneer 11 imply substantial, ongoing injections of mass ...

Unstable Planetary Systems Emerging Out Of Gas Disks
The discovery of over 400 extrasolar planets allows us to statistically test our understanding of formation and dynamics of planetary systems via numerical simulations.

Study on Nonlinear Dynamics Characteristic of Two-stage Planetary Gear Train
The translation and torsion coupled strong nonlinear dynamics model of two-stage planetary gear transmission system is established, and the nonlinear factors such as time-varying meshing stiffness, tooth side clearance and meshing error are introduced ...
