Planetary gearboxes have one or several planet gears rotating around the sun gear while revolving along their axle. This unique gear structure results in the simultaneous meshing of the planet gear with both sun and ring gears.

The complex planetary synchronization structure of the solar system
The complex planetary synchronization structure of the solar system, which since Pythagoras of Samos (ca. 570-495 BC) is known as the music of the spheres, is briefly reviewed from the Renaissance up to contemporary research.

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

New Method for Isomorphism Identification of Planetary Gear Trains based on Traversing Loop
Isomorphism identification is one of the indispensable processes in structure synthesis of planetary gear trains. It is of great significance for the creation of novel planetary gear train with excellent transmission characteristics.

Tilting Jupiter (a bit) and Saturn (a lot) During Planetary Migration [PDF]
We study the effects of planetary late migration on the gas giants obliquities. We consider the planetary instability models from Nesvorny & Morbidelli (2012), in which the obliquities of Jupiter and Saturn can be excited when the spin-orbit resonances ...

A structural law of planetary systems [PDF]
The present article gives a detailed analysis of a little known phenomenological structural formula of the Solar system proposed by Kirill Butusov. It is demonstrated that this structural law may also exist in an extra-solar system – 55 Cancri.

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

The Uncertainty in Water Mass Fraction of Wet Planets
Planets with masses between Earth and Neptune often have radii that imply the presence of volatiles, suggesting that water may be abundant in their interiors.

Dust Settling and Rapid Planetary Migration
Planetary migration is essential to explain the observed mass-period relation for exoplanets. Without some stopping mechanism, the tidal, resonant interaction between planets and their gaseous disc generally causes the planets to migrate inward so ...

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.
