Shaping Carbon Nitrides for Advanced Macrostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review examines how carbon nitride can be shaped through a range of printing and interfacial assembly methods. By bringing together additive manufacturing and liquid–liquid structuring concepts, carbon nitride is moving beyond its traditional powder‐based photocatalyst form toward digitally designed robust macroscale architectures with high design

Wet Ball Milling Synthesis of Iron Oxide Nanoparticles for High‐Efficiency, Controllable Magnetic Hyperthermia in Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A wet ball‐milling method is presented to synthesize iron magnetic nanoparticles and evaluate their magnetic hyperthermia performance. Optimized particles (∼270 nm, Ms ∼114 emu/g) achieve ∼50°C heating under clinically safe alternating magnetic fields, while pulsed‐field operation enables controlled temperature regulation (∼30°C).

Volatile Elements Characterized by MarSCoDe in Materials at Zhurong Landing Site

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
The study of volatile elements on the Martian surface is a critical way to explore the geological evolution history of Mars. Volatile elements such as hydrogen (H), sulfur (S), and chlorine (Cl) on the Martian surface act as proxies for the potential ...

A Methodology of Designing the Teeth Conjugation in a Planetary Roller Screw

open access: yesArchive of Mechanical Engineering, 2016
The paper presents the methodology for designing the teeth conjunction of planetary gears in the planetary roller screw mechanism. A function of the planetary gears is to synchronize an operation of rollers in order to avoid axial displacements.

Fully 3D‐Printed Wave‐Wound Electromagnetic Motors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents the first fully 3D‐printed wave‐wound electromagnetic motors, which are created using conductive nanoparticle inks, carbon‐filled nylon polymers, and surface mount components. These motors can achieve a stall torque of 7.62N·mmA−1$7.62 \nobreakspace N{\cdot }mm A^{-1}$ and efficiency of 28.2 %, which approaches the performance of ...

Research of the Tooth Surface Equation and Sliding Characteristic of Internal Cycloid Planetary Transmission with Point Contact

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2015
A new gear pair of cycloidal planetary transmission with point contact is proposed. The equations of tubular meshing tooth surfaces and contact locus of internal cycloidal planetary transmission are derived respectively.

A Decrease in Slope Angles on Insolated Martian Slopes: Ground-based Experiments

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Dry granular flow on Martian slopes can benefit from subsoil Knudsen compressors induced by thermal creep gas flow. The required temperature gradient for this natural compressor can be set by insolation.

Workshop on Planetary Atmospheres : November 6-7, 2007, Greenbelt, Maryland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The talks are organized along three themes: Atmospheres around bodies with solid surfaces (e.g., terrestrial planets, Titan, Io, Pluto, satellites, small bodies); Giant-planet atmospheres (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune); Other topics (e.g., comets,
