A magnetic measurement technique for small rare samples: Pre-study for Chang’e-5 returned and other extraterrestrial samples

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
Standard-size samples are usually used for traditional paleomagnetic studies. In some cases, small irregular samples are employed considering their amount and magnetic strength as well as experiment efficiency.

A New Health Condition Detection Method for Planetary Gears Based on Modified Distributed Compressed Sensing and Multiscale Symbol Dynamic Entropy

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
Planetary gear transmission system is an important transmission part of large machinery and is prone to failure. Aiming at the problem of how to extract fault information from vibration signals of nonlinear and nonstationary planetary gearboxes, a ...

The evolution of planetary nebulae [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2010
By means of hydrodynamical models we do the first investigations of how the properties of planetary nebulae are affected by their metal content and what can be learned from spatially unresolved spectrograms of planetary nebulae in distant stellar systems.

Planetary Nebulae as Sources of Chemical Enrichment of the Galaxy

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2022
During the late asymptotic giant branch (AGB) phase of stellar evolution, the element carbon is created through the triple-α nuclear reaction. This is followed by the synthesis of other heavy elements via neutron capture in the core and the dredge-up of ...

Dynamical evolution of extrasolar planetary systems [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2004
To date, more than 130 extrasolar planets around main sequence stars are revealed mainly by the Doppler radial velocity measurements. Due to the observational biases, most of the detected planets are moving in orbits close to the host stars, with some in highly eccentric orbits.

Planetary Engulfment Prognosis within the ρ CrB System

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Exoplanets have been detected around stars at various stages of their lives, ranging from young stars emerging from formation to the latter stages of evolution, including white dwarfs and neutron stars.

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Planetary Formation Constrained by Collisions between Millimeter-sized Lunar Particles and Lunar Surface from Chang’E-4 Mission

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Exploring low-velocity collisions is crucial for unraveling intricate processes in planetary formation, particularly the bouncing barrier that impedes the aggregation of dust into sizable planetesimals.
