An Explanation of the Poleward Mass Flux in the Stratosphere

open access: yesAtmosphere
This paper offers a new perspective on the explanation of the poleward mass flux in the stratosphere. This mass flux represents the upper leg of the so-called Brewer–Dobson circulation. This new perspective is based on the following hypothesis.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Cost of Debt: Evidence From European Firms Under Mandatory and Voluntary Disclosure

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Considering the growing attention to sustainability and the increasing regulatory pressure in the European landscape, this study evaluates whether greenhouse gas emissions affect firms' cost of debt. A panel regression was conducted from 2021 to 2024 on two samples of European firms.

Dynamic Impact of the Southern Annular Mode on the Antarctic Ozone Hole Area

open access: yesRemote Sensing
This study investigates the impact of dynamic variability of the Southern Hemisphere (SH) polar middle atmosphere on the ozone hole area. We analyze the influence of the southern annular mode (SAM) and planetary waves (PWs) on ozone depletion from 19 ...

Planetary Waves over Antarctica

open access: yes, 2022

From Green Governance to Biodiversity Strategy: The Role of Environmentally Experienced Directors in Chinese Firms

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how directors with environmental protection (EP) backgrounds influence corporate biodiversity concern (BIO) among Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2008 to 2023. Drawing on Upper Echelons Theory, we argue that directors' environmental expertise shapes firms' biodiversity strategies.

Nonlinear Interactions of Planetary‐Scale Waves in Mesospheric Winds Observed at 52°N Latitude and Two Longitudes

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Nine‐years of mesospheric wind measurements, from two meteor radars at 52°N latitude, were analyzed to study planetary waves (PWs) and tides through estimating their zonal wavenumbers.
