An Investigation of Automated Planograms Using a Simulated Annealing Based Hyper-Heuristic
2005This paper formulates the shelf space allocation problem as a non-linear function of the product net profit and store-inventory. We show that this model is an extension of multi-knapsack problem, which is itself an NP-hard problem. A two-stage relaxation is carried out to get an upper bound of the model.

1993An experimental investigation of plane supersonic mixing layers is presented with emphasis on the compressibility effects on the large scale structures. It is well known that, in incompressible mixing layers, 2D large scale structures predominate and play a major role in the development of the flow.

Biomedical RadioelectronicsAmong the diseases of the feet, flat feet are the most common cause of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Flat feet are characterized by flattening of the arches of the foot, decreased cushioning function, changes in the biomechanics of walking and pain syndromes.
