Taxon‐dependent multisite species turnover in fragmented habitats: comparing zeta diversity across birds, butterflies, and cursorial hunting spiders

Lattice‐Strained Cu2O‐Ni/NiO Heterostructure Enables Selective Electrocatalytic C–C Coupling of Alcohols to Cinnamaldehyde in Aqueous Medium

ENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study achieved the selective oxidation C–C coupling of PhCH2OH with EtOH to form cinnamaldehyde (CAL) on a designed Cu2O‐Ni/NiO heterojunction catalyst. By employing a salt precipitation strategy to balance the pH and cation concentration, an 86% conversion rate of PhCH2OH and a 67% high selectivity for CAL were realized.

Bark conductance to water vapor (gbark) is an important determinant of drought tolerance in tropical plants. Examining species differences in bark conductance can provide useful information about the resilience of tropical trees to ongoing climate change.
