[Regeneration of bark of Chinese medicinal plants after large area girdling].

This paper deals with the method of girdling, conditions of girdling, regeneration mechanism, and factors promoting bark regeneration. The results show that girdling is an effective way of tackling the problem of deficiency of woody medicinal plants in China.
