Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. 植物培養細胞を用いて有用二次代謝産物を生産したり, 有用な植物体を再生することは注目されている.ここでは, 植物細胞培養システムの応用研究の最近の成果を著者らの研究を含めて紹介する.二次代謝産物の生産においてカルス細胞培養による方法につき二段培養法, コンディショニング因子の効果を示し, 反応モデル, 細胞の固定化およびリアクターについて紹介を行った.毛状根による物質生産も, 根で作られる物質の生産には有効である.また, 植物体の再生は食糧や環境の問題解決に寄与すると考えられる.不定胚の生産やマイクロカプセル化による人工種子についての研究成果も記した.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
