Plant–microbiome interactions: from community assembly to plant health
Nature Reviews Microbiology, 2020Healthy plants host diverse but taxonomically structured communities of microorganisms, the plant microbiota, that colonize every accessible plant tissue. Plant-associated microbiomes confer fitness advantages to the plant host, including growth promotion, nutrient uptake, stress tolerance and resistance to pathogens.

Molecular Diagnostics in Plant Health
2017In several crops, their quality and condition is very important. The products are relatively expensive and plant diseases can destroy valuable harvests in a very short time. The presence or absence of plant pathogens and pests, therefore, needs to be accurately tested.

Control: Plant Health Regulation
1984National and international trade in horticultural produce and planting material carries with it the risks of disseminating pathogens. Control of these risks by using plant health regulation is attempted by domestic legislation and international co-operation. The latter is fostered under an International Plant Protection Convention of 1951.
