Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and

Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibody‐mediated complement activation. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist, is approved for treating generalized MG (gMG). However, its modulatory effects on upstream innate and adaptive immune cells remain largely unexplored.

Developmental, Neuroanatomical and Cellular Expression of Genes Causing Dystonia
ABSTRACT Objective Dystonia is one of the most common movement disorders, with variants in multiple genes identified as causative. However, an understanding of which developmental stages, brain regions, and cell types are most relevant is crucial for developing relevant disease models and therapeutics.

Future Scenarios for Plant Phenotyping
Annual Review of Plant Biology, 2013With increasing demand to support and accelerate progress in breeding for novel traits, the plant research community faces the need to accurately measure increasingly large numbers of plants and plant parameters. The goal is to provide quantitative analyses of plant structure and function relevant for traits that help plants better adapt to low-input ...

Image-based plant stornata phenotyping
2014 13th International Conference on Control Automation Robotics & Vision (ICARCV), 2014We propose in this paper a fully automatic approach for image-based plant stornata phenotyping. Given a microscopic image of a plant leaf surface, our goal is to automatically detect stornata cells and measure their morphological and structural features, such as stornata opening length and width, and size of the guard cells.

Plant phenotyping: a perspective
Indian Journal of Plant Physiology, 2016Sustainable agriculture for feeding increasing population is a foremost global challenge. The “green revolution” based crop productivity has done wonders in the past, but it has limits, and, thus, we are compelled to look for new avenues to increase productivity of important crops.

Plant rejuvenation: from phenotypes to mechanisms
Plant Cell Reports, 2020Plant rejuvenation refers to the reversal of the adult phase in plants and the recovery of part or all of juvenile plant characteristics. The growth and reproductive vitality of plants can be increased after rejuvenation. In recent years, research has successfully reversed the development clock in plants by certain methods; created rejuvenated plants ...

2020
In recent years, there has been significant progress in computer vision based plant phenotyping technologies. Due to their non-invasive and non-contact properties, imaging techniques are becoming state of the art in automated plant phenotyping analysis. There are several aspects of phenotyping, including plant growth, organ classification and tracking,
