Effect-directed profiling of aqueous, fermented plant preparations via high-performance thin-layer chromatography combined with in situ assays and high-resolution mass spectrometry

Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies, 2019
Aqueous, fermented preparations from a vast range of medical plants are among the active pharmaceutical ingredients of homoeopathic medicinal products. In this study aqueous, fermented plant preparations from Chamomilla recutita L. (C.r.), Allium cepa L.

Sample preparation for plant metabolomics

Phytochemical Analysis, 2009
AbstractSample preparation in plant metabolomics is a fundamental and critical step with important consequences for the accuracy of results. Depending on the analytical tools and the metabolites of interest, sample preparation has to be decided. However, the various methods reported in the literature have many steps in common and consequently the ...

Preparation of intact plant mitochondria

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1972
Abstract Mitochondria from mung bean hypocotyls and potato tubers have been separated from contaminating organelles and membrane fragments on discontinuous sucrose gradients. After removal from the centrifuge tubes only intact mitochondria survive dilution to 0.3 M sucrose.

Humic preparation and plant activity

Journal of Water and Land Development, 2022
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a biological humic preparation – “HUMIN PLUS”, made from natural raw materials – environmentally friendly lake sapropel on the biological development of agricultural crops. The study consisted in obtaining information and assessing the effect of a biological product on the dynamics of seedlings

Protoplasts: Preparation from Higher Plants

Science, 1966
Protoplasts can be readily prepared from higher-plant tissue with a concentrated Myrothecium cellulase preparation. An ionic osmoticum produced a higher yield and more viable protoplasts than did the nonionic mannitol osmoticum. Addition of polyuronidases or of ethylenediaminetetra-acetate did not increase the yield.

Sample Preparation Focusing on Plant Omics

2019
Because of strong impact of omics in many fields, and the complexity of the samples when focusing on areas such as genomics, (metallo)proteomics, metabolomics, among others, it is easy to rationalize the great importance that sample preparation has for achieving reliable results, mainly considering plant science.

Site preparation, soil management, and planting.

2013
Abstract This chapter focuses on the importance of the treatment and management of the site and soil before planting in improving the growth and productivity of blackberries. Some factors that need to be considered prior to blackberry cultivation, such as the soil physical, chemical and biological properties, soil quality and field layout, are ...

Simulation of coal preparation plants

SIMULATION, 1986
Coal preparation is a process for removing physical impurities from coal. The process is carried out in large plants whose capa cities range from 500 to 20,000 tons of coal per day. There are about 500 such plants within the United States. A coal preparation plant simulator was developed under the sponsorship of the U.S.

Preparation of transgenic plants

1970
Selectable marker genes are used in nearly all transformation procedures. They are required for efficient generation of transgenic plants, but serve no purpose once plants have been obtained that are homozygous for the transgene. On the contrary, their continued presence can pose technological problems, because it precludes retransformation (gene ...

Instrumentation for Coal Preparation Plants

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1980
Abstract The paper presents the measuring devices used in Poland for monitoring of coal preparation processes with particular consideration of the problems of coal quality automatic control. There are discussed the operation and construction principles of radiometric ash meters and moisture meters used for continuous measurement as well as laboratory
