Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Plant regeneration in Curcuma species and assessment of genetic stability of regenerated plants

open access: yesBiologia plantarum, 2010
An efficient plant regeneration protocol was developed from rhizomes of two Curcuma species C. longa and C. amada. Response was highly dependent on the season, with above 69 % of culture developing adventitious shoots during spring. Greatest regeneration and multiplication was observed in modified Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 13.31

Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Creation of rice doubled haploids with low amylose content using in vitro anther culture [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
In vitro androgenesis is a unique model for producing homozygous doubled haploid plants. The use of haploid biotechnology accelerates to obtain of doubled haploid plants, which is very important in rice breeding.

Regeneration of plants

open access: yesCalifornia Agriculture, 1982
Not available – first paragraph follows: Reporting his pioneering experiments on plant cell culture to the German Academy of Science in 1902, G. Haberlandt predicted that someday “in this way one could successfully cultivate embryos from vegetative cells.” Had IAA and kinetin been at his disposal, Haberlandt might have realized his prediction, and ...
