Elevational adaptation and phenotypic plasticity of Codonopsis clematidea in the trans-Himalaya

open access: yesDiscover Plants
The process of adapting to changing environmental conditions plays a pivotal role in driving plant diversification. Elevational gradients provide a unique opportunity to investigate adaptation to diverse climatic conditions.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Gibberellic acid-induced changes in glutathione metabolism and anthocyanin content in plant tissue

open access: yes, 2001
Literature data point to a possible link between gibberellic acid (GA(3)) and glutathione metabolism in plant tissue, as both are connected to dormancy breakage.

THE EFFECT OF PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS ON SHOOT FORMATION FROM CORM EXPLANT OF HEDYCHIUM CORONARIUM [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Journal of Flowers and Ornamental Plants, 2020
This study was conducted for a micropropagation of Hedychium coronarium,an important medicinal herb, through sprouted rhizome buds. Rhizome buds were cultured on two different media; Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) and Gamborg medium (B5) without any ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Identification of Endogenous Reference Genes for RT-qPCR Expression Analysis in Urochloa brizantha Under Abiotic Stresses

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Urochloa brizantha is one of the most important warm season forage grasses in tropical countries. Despite its importance, there are few studies on gene expression in this species under stressful conditions.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

In vitro cloning of Azadirachta indica from root explants

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2011
In vitro cultures of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. were raised by first culturing the root segments on modified Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 8.88 μM 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP), 9.84 μM N6-(2-isopentenyl) adenine (2iP), 5.71 μM indole-3 ...
