Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS), produced by respiratory burst oxidase homologs (RBOHs) at the apoplast, play a key role in local and systemic cell-to-cell signaling, required for plant acclimation to stress.

DETERMINATION OF STARCH IN PLANT TISSUES [PDF]
During a study of the carbohydrate distribution in grape canes, it became necessary to have a method for the estimation of small amounts of starch. A fairly rapid, accurate method yielding easily reproducible results was desired in order that the analysis of a great number of samples could be completed in a short time.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Carbon Isotope Ratio Fractionation among Plant Tissues of Soybean
Carbon isotope ratio (δC) has been used as a proxy for water use efficiency (WUE) in several crops. We compared δC of soybean [ (L.) Merr.] tissues sampled at bloom with δC of mature seed (MS).

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

The Dynamic Plant: Capture, Transformation, and Management of Energy [PDF]
1 Plants are exquisite in their capacity to convert photons of light through photosynthetic carbon diox-ide (CO 2) fixation into carbohydrate resources that are assimilated and partitioned from photosynthetic source to sink tissues.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
