Plantago major L. Artbeschreibung: 5-30 cm hoch. Ährenstiel meist nicht länger als die Blätter, diese in grundständiger Rosette, breit-eiförmig, gestielt, 5-9nervig. Ähre schmal-zylindrisch, 2-10(-20) cm lang. Einzelblüten ca. 2 mm lang, kahl, mit 4 gelblichen Zipfeln. Staubblätter zuerst lila, dann braungelb. Frucht 3-4 mm lang.
