Elevated levels of Tau in cerebrospinal fluids or other body fluids are associated with the progression of Alzheimer's disease. An optical technique, based on a dual label‐free and fluorescence operation mode, is developed to detect Tau protein in both standard running buffer and cerebrospinal fluid.

Rheumatoid arthritis and Hailey‐Hailey disease treated with methotrexate
Abstract We report a rare case of long‐standing Hailey‐Hailey disease in a Caucasian Portuguese 69‐year‐old woman, recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The patient's skin lesions remained active and exudative despite topical and oral treatments with corticosteroids, tetracyclines, antifungals, and oral treatment with azathioprine.
