Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Charged particle environment of Titan during the T9 flyby [PDF]
The ion measurements of the Cassini Plasma Spectrometer are presented which were acquired on 26 December 2005, during the T9 flyby at Titan. The plasma flow and magnetic field directions in the distant plasma environment of the moon were distinctly ...

Respiratory Organ‐on‐a‐Chip for Disease Modeling: From Architecture to Functional Integration
Respiratory organ‐on‐a‐chip (ROC) models capture key mechanical and cellular cues of the human respiratory system, enabling quantitative dissection of disease mechanisms. This review links ROC architectures to disease modeling, functional integration, and commercialization, and proposes a decision framework that aligns model complexity with mechanistic

Fabrication of an active nanostencil with integrated microshutters [PDF]
An active nanostencil, consisting of a thin (200 nm) silicon nitride membrane with attached polysilicon microactuators that can be used to dynamically open and/or close holes in the silicon nitride membrane, is presented.

Micro Balloon Actuators for Aerodynamic Control [PDF]
A robust, large-force, large-deflection micro balloon actuator for aerodynamic (manoeuvring) control of transonic aircraft has been developed. Using a novel process, high yield linear arrays of silicone balloons on a robust silicon substrate have been ...

Towards a precision measurement of the Casimir force in a cylinder-plane geometry [PDF]
We report on a proposal aimed at measuring the Casimir force in a cylinder-plane configuration. The Casimir force is evaluated including corrections due to finite parallelism, conductivity, and temperature.

This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...

Discharge characteristics of plasma sheet actuators
The electrical characteristics of a plasma sheet device used for subsonic airflow control are studied in this paper. Experiments are undertaken with a two-wire asymmetrical (different diameters, opposite polarity) electrode configuration connected to dc high voltage sources in the presence of a dielectric plate and under different gases (dry air ...

Plasmonic Enhancement of Fluorescence and Protein Dynamics in Living Mammalian Cells
This study demonstrates plasmonic enhancement of the function of fluorescent voltage sensing proteins (genetically encoded voltage indicators, (GEVIs), QuasAr6) in live mammalian cells. Coupling to plasmonic nanoparticles does not just increase fluorescence, but influences the protein photocycle, creating a hybrid sensor with its response speed to ...
