Understanding the spectrum during the tearing mode locking by rotating RMP in J-TEXT

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
The rotating resonant magnetic perturbation (RMP) could lock the tearing mode (TM) and prevent disruption. It is found that the TM instantaneous frequency oscillates during TM locking on the RMP.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Testing of ITER-grade plasma facing units in the WEST tokamak: Progress in understanding heat loading and damage mechanisms

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2023
Assessing the performance of the ITER design for the tungsten (W) divertor Plasma Facing Units (PFUs) in a tokamak environment is a high priority issue to ensure efficient plasma operation.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Adaptive anomaly detection disruption prediction starting from first discharge on tokamak

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Plasma disruption presents a significant challenge in tokamak fusion, especially in large-size devices like ITER, where it causes severe damage. While current data-driven machine learning methods perform well in disruption prediction, they require ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Bifurcation from L-mode to internal transport barrier triggered by a magnetic island in tokamak plasmas

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Magnetic islands are believed to be responsible for triggering the internal transport barrier (ITB) around the rational surface and hence improves confinement in magnetic confinement fusion plasma, for more than two decades.

Observation of plasma confinement in picosecond laser-plasma interactions

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1993
Novel features associated with multiterawatt laser interactions with solid targets at incident irradiances in the range (1.0--12.0)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{17}$ W ${\mathrm{cm}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}2}$ are presented. Collimation of the plasma flow normal to the target surface has been observed in time-integrated x-ray images and ion-
