A calorimetric probe for plasma diagnostics

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2010
A calorimetric probe for plasma diagnostics is presented, which allows measurements of the power taken by a test substrate. The substrate can be biased and used as an electric probe in order to obtain information about the composition of the total heating power.

Introduction to Plasma Diagnostics

Fusion Science and Technology, 2000
Plasma diagnostics are based on a multitude of different physical processes with wavelengths in the range from sub-nm to tens of cm. Many different techniques are being employed for measuring the spatial profile and evolution of various plasma parameters. Although most of them are already well established, plasma diagnostics is still a very challenging

Simulating Plasma Microwave Diagnostics

Journal of Scientific Computing, 2006
The paper presents computational simulations of plasma diagnostics via microwave absorption, where the number density of the charge particles and its collision frequency with the neutral particles are measured basing on the microwave attenuation phenomenon.

Plasma Diagnostics by Spectroscopic Methods

Applied Optics, 1967
Spectroscopic techniques for the measurement of plasma parameters are reviewed for a range of temperatures up to 10(6) degrees K. Tables and figures of useful data have been prepared or have been collected from the literature for ready application to experimental measurements.

RF techniques in plasma diagnostics

Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion, 1998
An overview is given on active and passive microwave diagnostics established on fusion experiments. The basic principles of the various techniques are briefly outlined and their limits as well as recent developments are discussed.
