Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Experimental investigation of kinetic instabilities driven by runaway electrons in the EXL-50 spherical torus

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
In this study, high-frequency instabilities driven by runaway electrons in the EXL-50 spherical torus have been reported using a high-frequency magnetic pickup coil.

A Model for Cosmic Magnetic Field Amplification: Effects of Pressure Anisotropy Perturbations

open access: yesUniverse
Magnetic field amplification in the early universe is a long-standing problem that has been extensively studied through theoretical and numerical approaches, focusing on turbulent dynamos and the growth of collisionless plasma instabilities.

Shear instabilities in shallow-water magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The interaction of horizontal shear flows and magnetic fields in stably stratified layers is central to many problems in astrophysical fluid dynamics.

Weibel and Two-Stream Instabilities for Intense Charged Particle Beam Propagation through Neutralizing Background Plasma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Properties of the multi-species electromagnetic Weibel and electrostatic two-stream instabilities are investigated for an intense ion beam propagating through background plasma.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Cumulative Proton Right-handed Instabilities in the Young Solar Wind Observed by PSP

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present a detailed linear analysis of right-handed (RH) proton instabilities in beaming bi-Maxwellian/bi-Kappa plasma representative of young solar wind conditions currently explored by the Parker Solar Probe.

Pepper-pot emittance measurement of laser-plasma wakefield accelerated electrons

open access: yes, 2009
The transverse emittance is an important parameter governing the brightness of an electron beam. Here we present the first pepper-pot measurement of the transverse emittance for a mono-energetic electron beam from a laser-plasma wakefield accelerator ...

Dissipative instabilities in beam-plasma systems

open access: yes, 2022
It is known that all types of beam-plasma instabilities (Cherenkov, cyclotron, etc.) at a high level of dissipation turn into dissipative instability (DI). Until recently, only one type of DI was known in the beam-plasma interaction theory.
