TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

3D Radio and X-Ray Modeling and Data Analysis Software: Revealing Flare Complexity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We have undertaken a major enhancement of our IDL-based simulation tools developed earlier for modeling microwave and X-ray emission. The object-based architecture provides an interactive graphical user interface that allows the user to import ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Non-Axisymmetric Tokamak Plasma Equilibrium by 3-D Multi-Layers Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences
A three-dimensional (3-D) Multi-Layers Method (MLM) of an extension of the axisymmetric version has been developed to compute non-axisymmetric tokamak plasma equilibria with a separatrix.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Using LQR controller for vertical position control on EAST

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Vertical position control is essential for stabilizing plasma with elongated configurations. The EAST tokamak is equipped with a set of in-vessel control (IC) coils dedicated to this purpose.

Dynamic Formation of a Transient Jet from Arched Magnetized Laboratory Plasma

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
A laboratory plasma experiment was built to explore the eruptive behavior of arched magnetized plasmas with dimensionless parameters relevant to the Sun’s photosphere ( β ≈ 10 ^−3 , Lundquist number ≈10 ^4 , plasma radius/ion gyroradius ≈20, ion–neutral ...

The Heavy-Ion Beam Diagnostic of the ISTTOK Tokamak—Highlights and Recent Developments

open access: yesSensors, 2022
The unique arrangement of the heavy-ion beam diagnostic in ISTTOK enables one to measure the evolution of temperature, density and pressure-like profiles in normal and AC discharges. The fast chopping beam technique provided the possibility to reduce the

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
