Doxepin Plasma Levels and Anxiolytic Response
International Pharmacopsychiatry, 1980A study of 23 patients (16 females, 7 males), diagnosed as suffering from anxiety, was carried out using a flexible dosage regimen of doxepin. Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale scores were assessed on days 0, 7, 14 and 21 and plasma doxepin and desmethyl-doxepin concentrations were analysed from blood samples taken on days 7, 14 and 21 of the trial.

Parathyroid response during therapeutic plasma exchange
Transfusion, 1983ABSTRACT: Significant hypocalcemia is infrequently encountered during therapeutic plasma exchange. An increase in parathyroid hormone secretion during the procedure may be responsible for maintaining the calcium levels.

Amitriptyline plasma levels and therapeutic response
Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1976Eighteen depressed outpatients were treatedfor 6 wk with amitriptyline. Clinical improvement was monitored using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale administered by two psychiatrists blind to the tricyclic used for treatment, dosage, and plasma levels.

Plasma biopterin levels and tetrahydrobiopterin responsiveness
Molecular Genetics and Metabolism, 2005Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) responsive hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA) with a mutant phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH) gene was found during neonatal screening for PKU. This study determined blood BH4 and phenylalanine in two patients with hyperphenylalaninemia following oral load with BH4 10 mg/kg. Our patients underwent neonatal screening for PKU, had normal

Viloxazine plasma concentrations and clinical response
Journal of Affective Disorders, 1980Eleven patients suffering from primary depressive illness were treated with 300 mg/d of viloxazine for 29 days. Blood samples were collected at weekly intervals and severity of depression assessed using the Hamilton depression rating scale. Mean plasma viloxazine level for all patients during the trial was 1.20 micrograms/ml and ranged from 0.40 to 2 ...

Duloxetine plasma level and antidepressant response
Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology and Biological Psychiatry, 2019Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is associated with a high rate of inadequate treatment response, which is mainly due to the large inter-individual genetic variability in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic targets of antidepressant drugs. Little is still known about the exact association between plasma level of first-line antidepressants and clinical ...

Trifluoperazine Plasma Levels and Clinical Response
Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, 1989The authors studied 36 acutely psychotic inpatients who were diagnosed as having either a schizophrenic (N = 30) or other psychotic (N = 6) disorder. After a washout phase averaging 18 days, all patients were placed on trifluoperazine 5 mg orally twice a day.

Abnormal Plasma Catecholamine Responses in Acromegalics
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1979Plasma dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine responses to bromocriptine (2.5 mg orally) or to LRH (100 microgram iv) were studied in seven acromegalic patients. In contrast to normal men, in whom plasma concentrations of catecholamines decrease markedly, acromegalic subjects fail to show decreases in plasma dopamine, norepinephrine, or epinephrine ...

Plasma Response to Strongly Sheared Flow
Physical Review Letters, 1996Laboratory observations of reactively driven plasma waves in the ion-cyclotron frequency range associated with a localized, transverse dc electric field are reported. This wave excitation occurs even when the field-aligned current is negligible, a situation often reported in the space plasma environment.

Fluphenazine plasma levels and clinical response
Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, 1985Plasma levels of fluphenazine and clinical response were examined in 19 inpatient schizophrenics (DSM-III diagnoses) using a constant dose, steady-state methodology. A significant curvilinear correlation was demonstrated between clinical response and steady-state plasma levels of fluphenazine (p less than .05).
