Perovskite-type SrZrO3 has been investigated as a candidate material for thermal barrier coating application. During plasma spraying of SrZrO3, SrO volatilized more than ZrO2 and the coating composition deviates from initial stoichiometry.

Trace Ru‐Doped PtCuRu@PtRu Core‐Shell Electrocatalyst for CO‐Resilient Methanol Oxidation
We engineered a trace Ru‐doped PtCuRu@PtRu core‐shell nanostructure. This design exploits lattice mismatch‐induced compressive strain between the PtCuRu ternary core and trace Ru‐doped Pt‐rich shell, systematically downshifting the Pt d‐band center to weaken *CO adsorption energetics.

Wide Temperature Zero Thermal Expansion in Al Matrix Composites with High Thermal Conductivity
Strain engineering strategy is implemented on the negative thermal expansion (NTE) phase Zn1.6Mg0.4P2O7 within composites, where Al matrix‐induced compressive strain drives uniform polyhedral and unit cell evolution, thereby enabling broad and consistent thermal compensation efficacy and obtaining good thermal performance.
