Effect of the duty cycle on the spark-plug plasma synthetic jet actuator
A promising novel actuator called Spark-Plug Plasma Synthetic Jet (SPSJ) has been developed in Atmospheric Plasma Research Laboratory at Niğde University. It generates electrothermally high synthetic jet velocity by using high voltage.

Synthetic NPA diagnostic for energetic particles in JET plasmas [PDF]
Neutral particle analysis (NPA) is one of the few methods for diagnosing fast ions inside a plasma by measuring neutral atom fluxes emitted due to charge exchange reactions. The JET tokamak features an NPA diagnostic which measures neutral atom fluxes and energy spectra simultaneously for hydrogen, deuterium and tritium species.

A Calibrated Lumped Element Model for the Prediction of PSJ Actuator Efficiency Performance
Among the various active flow control techniques, Plasma Synthetic Jet (PSJ) actuators, or Sparkjets, represent a very promising technology, especially because of their high velocities and short response times.

Through the Looking Glass: Faraday Conversion in Turbulent Blazar Jets
Faint levels of circular polarization (Stokes V) have been detected in several relativistic jets. While typically less than a few percent, circular polarization can give us critical insight into the underlying nature of the jet plasma.

Interactions of a Light Hypersonic Jet with a Non-Uniform Interstellar Medium [PDF]
We present three dimensional simulations of the interaction of a light hypersonic jet with an inhomogeneous thermal and turbulently supported disk in an elliptical galaxy.

Separation control with plasma synthetic jet actuators
In the framework of the PLASMAERO project funded by the European Community, ONERA and CNRS laboratories develop plasma synthetic jet actuators, in order to demonstrate the potential of such electrical devices to act on aerodynamic phenomena like separated flows.

Pre-switching bifurcation of a slender jet [PDF]
In this work, we study the near-field of the jet flow exiting a slot-model with aspect ratio 7.5:1. The core of the slender jet separates into two streams which subsequently merge recomposing a single core jet.

Humidity Characteristics of Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuator
This paper describes humidity characteristics of Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuator (PSJA). PSJA is flow control device using the Electro Hydro Dynamic (EHD) effect of the glow-discharge. PSJA can be downsized, controlled easily, and has quick control response.

Experimental investigation on frequency characteristics of plasma synthetic jets
The performance of a two-electrode plasma synthetic jet actuator (PSJA) is investigated for a wide range of dimensionless actuation frequencies ( f*) using high-speed phase-locked particle imaging velocimetry measurements. The jet-induced velocity fields in the axisymmetric plane are measured during both transient and steady working stages of the PSJA.

3D Simulations of Relativistic Precessing Jets Probing the Structure of Superluminal Sources [PDF]
We present the results of a three-dimensional, relativistic, hydrodynamic simulation of a precessing jet into which a compact blob of matter is injected.
