Atovaquone is an antimalarial requiring potentiation for sufficient efficacy. We pursued strategies to enhance its activity, showing that 4‐nitrobenzoate inhibits 4‐hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase, decreasing ubiquinone biosynthesis. Since atovaquone competes with ubiquinol in mitochondria, 4‐nitrobenzoate facilitates its action, potentiating ...

Cryopreservation of Anopheles gambiae Larvae
Advancements in vector control methods have resulted in a rapidly growing collection of critically important mosquito strains necessitating the development of cryopreservation protocols to minimize the risk of genetic drift, cross‐contamination, or catastrophic loss.

A simple and general photoactivatable approach is developed to regulate DNA polymerase activity, enabling light‐start isothermal amplification on demand. The molecular dynamics simulations reveals that the photocaged primer blocks DNA polymerase activity by inhibiting the conformational change of the polymerase.

The advent of aptamers has highlighted their potential as alternatives to antibodies, overcoming limitations of structural instability and production cost. However, conventional approaches such as SELEX remain slow and labor‐intensive. This review examines recent advances in aptamer engineering, emphasizing in vitro and AI‐driven in silico strategies ...
