Characterization and Inhibition of the Chaperone Function of Plasmodium falciparum Glucose‐Regulated Protein 94 kDa (Pf Grp94)

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 93, Issue 5, Page 957-971, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Plasmodium falciparum expresses four heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) members. Among these, one, glucose‐regulated protein 94 (PfGrp94), is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Both the cytosolic and ER‐based Hsp90s are essential for parasite survival under all growth conditions.

A Brief Molecular History of Vγ9Vδ2 TCR‐Mediated Phosphoantigen Sensing

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 331, Issue 1, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Vγ9Vδ2 T‐cells are universally present in humans and represent one of the most prevalent TCR reactivities, evolutionarily conserved across diverse mammalian species. They are an innate‐like subset featuring a semi‐invariant TCR repertoire that drives their well‐recognized reactivity to small, non‐peptidic phosphoantigens (pAg). Crucially, they

A Cryptic Loop that Modulates Protein‐Protein Interaction: Implications in PfAMA1‐PfRON2 Late‐stage Binding Event

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 26, Issue 8, April 14, 2025.
A combination of computational and experimental approaches revealed the role of a cryptic loop in the late‐stage binding of Plasmodium falciparum proteins PfAMA1 and PfRON2, crucial for malaria parasite entry into human red blood cells. Simulations captured loop dynamics, while experiments validated binding kinetics, identifying, fort the first time ...
