Nanostructures for plasmonic biosensors

open access: yes, 2021
This thesis aims to show that nanoparticles in the form of triangle nanostructures/nanosandwiches prepared using natural lithography or in the form of nanorods/nanobubbles prepared by wet chemistry have important optical properties and that the enhanced sensitivity of their surrounding environment can be used as a new class of optical sensors using ...

Innovative Metasurface Colorimetric Cell‐on‐a‐Chip Sensor for Continuous, Label‐Free, Non‐Destructive Assessment of Intestinal Barrier Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a real‐time, label‐free, high‐throughput cell‐on‐a‐chip system based on a metasurface plasmon resonance colorimetric sensor (MetaSPRCS) to evaluate intestinal barrier function. This platform enables continuous monitoring of cell adhesion, proliferation, and barrier layer formation, disruption, and repair.

High‐Brightness, Wide‐Gamut, and High‐Resolution Structural Colors via Ultrafast Laser Oxidation of Ti/TiO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ultrafast laser writing on titanium (Ti)–titanium dioxide (TiO2)–Ti sandwich films triggers controllable oxidation (〉200 nm) to create vivid, durable structural colors. The colors reach 〉 80% of the standard RGB (sRGB) gamut, up to 60% peak reflectance, and 30,000 dots per inch (DPI) resolution for art and anti‐counterfeiting.

Ag Nanowire‐Integrated MoS2/ZnO Heterojunctions for Highly Efficient Photogenerated Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 6, May 2025.
A versatile strategy is reported for fabricating multi‐dimensional heterojunctions with significantly improved charge transfer capability. By integrating Ag nanowires with a MoS2/ZnO heterojunction, a fourfold increase in surface photovoltage is achieved, reaching 200 mV under visible light illumination.
