Plasmon–Plasmon Hybridization and Bandwidth Enhancement in Nanostructured Graphene
Nano Letters, 2015Graphene plasmonic structures with long-range layering periodicity are presented. Resonance energy scaling with the number of graphene layers involved in plasmonic excitation allows these structures to support multiple plasmonic modes that couple and hybridize due to their physical proximity. Hybridized states exhibit bandwidth enhancements of 100-200%

Surface plasmon resonance biosensors with plasmonic nanostructures
SPIE Proceedings, 2009This study has developed a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor with a metal nanoslit structure which couples incident light for real-time analysis of biomolecular interactions. The main advantages of the proposed SPR biosensor are to avoid the disturbance from buffer solution and only need a compact system compared with SPR biosensors with ...

Plasmonic Nanostructured Electromagnetic Materials
Chinese Physics Letters, 2012We study the materials that are composed of metals and insulators. These plasmonic and non-plasmonic materials are ordered in geometric arrangements with dimensions that are fractions of the wavelength of light. A theoretical model is developed to simulate the refractive index of these nano-structured electromagnetic materials which support surface ...

Optomagnetism in plasmonic nanostructures
2022Optically-induced magnetism has drawn considerable interest in the past years for its ability to speed up magnetic processes. For example, static magnetic fields have been demonstrated to be generated in non-magnetic plasmonic (gold) nanoparticles and nano-apertures [1].
