Copying a Plasmonic Signal From an Optical Signal
We propose a plasmonic signal copier (PSC) composed of a gapped surface plasmon polariton waveguide (SPPW) and an optical waveguide laid across the gap.

Facing the problems of ohmic loss and short propagation length, the application of plasmonic waveguides is limited. Here, a triangle hybrid plasmonic waveguide is introduced, where a cylinder silicon waveguide is separated from the triangle prism silver ...

Photonic bandgap plasmonic waveguides [PDF]
A novel type of a plasmonic waveguide has been proposed featuring an "open" design that is easy to manufacture, simple to excite and that offers a convenient access to a plasmonic mode. Optical properties of photonic bandgap (PBG) plasmonic waveguides are investigated experimentally by leakage radiation microscopy and numerically using the finite ...

Light-Emitting Waveguide-Plasmon Polaritons [PDF]
We demonstrate the generation of light in an optical waveguide strongly coupled to a periodic array of metallic nanoantennas. This coupling gives rise to hybrid waveguide-plasmon polaritons (WPPs), which undergo a transmutation from plasmon to waveguide mode and viceversa as the eigenfrequency detuning of the bare states transits through zero.

Integration of Single-Photon Emitters in 2D Materials with Plasmonic Waveguides at Room Temperature
Efficient integration of a single-photon emitter with an optical waveguide is essential for quantum integrated circuits. In this study, we integrated a single-photon emitter in a hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) flake with a Ag plasmonic waveguide and ...

Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) are highly confined electromagnetic (EM) surface waves in microwave and millimeter‐wave frequencies, mimicking the surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in the optical frequency, which have many potential applications

Integrated plasmon and dielectric waveguides
We have designed, fabricated and characterized surface plasmon waveguides for near infrared light in the telecommunications spectrum. These waveguides exhibit losses of -1.2dB/microm and can guide light around 0.5 microm bends. Light can also be efficiently coupled between more conventional silicon waveguides and these plasmon waveguides with compact ...

Trapping light in plasmonic waveguides
We present comprehensive case studies on trapping of light in plasmonic waveguides, including the metal-insulator-metal (MIM) and insulator-metal-insulator (IMI) waveguides. Due to the geometrical symmetry, the guided modes are classified into the anti-symmetric and symmetric modes.
