Nursery light environments shape planting‐stock phenotype in Copaifera langsdorffii for forest restoration

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Scaling ecological restoration in the Amazon requires a reliable supply of native planting stock, yet nursery environments can strongly shape seedling phenotypes and species‐specific guidance remains limited. For late‐successional tropical trees, understanding how manageable nursery conditions coordinate growth and biomass ...

Living in the Mycelial World

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract This manuscript documents a systematic ethnomycological analysis of ethnographic archives. Focusing on texts describing human–fungi interactions, I conduct a global, cross‐cultural review of mushroom use, covering 193 societies worldwide. The study reveals diverse mushroom‐related cultural practices, emphasizing the significance of fungi ...

Multifunctional PVC/PVA‐ZnO Nanocomposites: Bridging Dielectric Response and Antibacterial Activity for Active Packaging Applications

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 46, December 10, 2026.
PVC and PVA polymer blends are studied as a function of frequency at room temperature to find the composition that gives the AC conductivity. The blend that has 75% PVC and 25% PVA is chosen as the matrix. Then 10% ZnO nanoparticles are added for food packaging. The change, in conductivity is used as a sign of activity and food freshness. ABSTRACT This

Slow‐release peat‐urea fertilizer increased sweet corn yield and nitrogen use efficiency compared to urea

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract Nitrogen (N) use efficiency of urea is often low, resulting in inefficient N utilization. Again, peat, a high organic carbon (OC)‐containing soil, is considered a problematic soil. However, enriching peat with urea may release fertilizer N slowly, and its application to agricultural soil can sequester OC in the soil.

The significance of global identity in shaping individual behaviour and policy support: Focus on plastic purchasing and consumption

open access: yesEnvironmental Psychology Research, Volume 1, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract Background Global identity (GI), a sense of belonging to a global society, is gaining attention as a key factor for promoting pro‐environmental behaviours (PEB) to tackle the global environmental crisis. Among such global predicaments, plastic waste and pollution remain pressing issues. Although prior research has established a link between GI
