Strength of Plate Girders in Shear
Journal of the Structural Division, 1961A study of the shear strength of plate girders is presented. In utilizing the postbuckling strength offered by the transverse stiffening of girders, new design rules are proposed. The new approach is checked with ultimate load tests carried out at Fritz Engineering Laboratory.
