A slab in depth: Three‐dimensional geometry and evolution of the Indo‐Australian plate
Geoscientists use plate tectonics to explain many aspects of both continental evolution and evolution of the planet as a whole. The subduction of material at convergent plate boundaries forms a fundamental component to the theory of plate tectonics ...

Aluminum‐enhanced afterburning renders AE explosives more hazardous than conventional ones. Corrugated steel linings reduce far‐field AE blast overpressure by ~50% through wave reflection and dissipation. The developed model accurately predicts peak pressure (<10% error) and arrival time (<3% error), supporting protective design.

Regarding the discussion about the banded magnetic anomalies of the oceans
The author supports the theory of plate tectonics with a plume component, pointing out the weak aspects of the arguments regarding the banded magnetic anomalies (BMA) of the ocean floor, which are the subject of discussions between supporters and ...

Diversification and biogeography of Rhacophoridae – a model testing approach
A central focus of evolutionary biology is to understand species diversity by studying how they arrived at their current geographic distributions. The biogeography of the Old World tree frogs in the family Rhacophoridae has been extensively studied ...

The fused data extracted from the distributed monitoring system as the data basis, combined with dynamic geological data, are imported into a deep learning model. As the geological conditions of mining and excavation change, the risk of water inrush at the working face is retrieved in real time.

Paradoxically, the lists of “proxies” of both plate- and plume-related settings are devoid of even a mention of the high-grade metamorphic rocks (granulite, amphibolite and high-temperature eclogite facies).
