Human platelet-rich plasma improves the nesting and differentiation of human chondrocytes cultured in stabilized porous chitosan scaffolds

open access: yesJournal of Tissue Engineering, 2017
The clinical management of large-size cartilage lesions is difficult due to the limited regenerative ability of the cartilage. Different biomaterials have been used to develop tissue engineering substitutes for cartilage repair, including chitosan alone ...

Study on high pressure plasma produced by ArF laser [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
When an ArF excimer laser beam was focused in a high pressure argon gas from 50 to 130 atm, the plasma development is observed by streak camera from side window of chamber. The high pressure ArF laser plasma develops symmetrically and the plasma produced by ArF excimer laser hardly develops as compared with the plasma produced by XeCl.

In vitro ultrastructure and biodegradation of activated plasma albumin gel derived from human samples: A prospective observational study

open access: yesClinical Advances in Periodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background In soft tissue regeneration, the clinical efficacy of fibrin membranes has been a pressing concern. The key to this efficacy lies in the stability of membrane and its controlled absorption. Human serum albumin, with its influence on the formation and stability of fibrin networks, could hold the key to developing a more stable ...

Immunoregulatory role of platelet derivatives in the macrophage-mediated immune response

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundMacrophages are innate immune cells that display remarkable phenotypic heterogeneity and functional plasticity. Due to their involvement in the pathogenesis of several human conditions, macrophages are considered to be an attractive therapeutic

Crestal approach for repair of oroantral bone defects and subsequent implant placement

open access: yesClinical Advances in Periodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Oroantral communication (OAC) can occur after a dental extraction. Occasionally, bony defects may persist despite successful soft tissue closure of the OAC. The absence of bone in these areas poses challenges for dental implant placement.

Effective field theory of Plasmas in Podolsky corrected Photonic field [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
A theory for abelian plasma permeated by photons has been developed considering QED (quantum electrodynamics) generalized in Podolsky electrodynamics framework for consideration of higher order terms in electromagnetic theory. The theory traces out photonic degrees of freedom in plasma and accounts for plasma dynamics mediated by photons by calculated ...

Ethnomedicinal uses, phytochemistry, pharmacological activities, and toxicology of the subfamily Gomphrenoideae (Amaranthaceae): A comprehensive review

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Accepted Article.
The subfamily Gomphrenoideae is composed of about 480 accepted species, many of which have been historically used as medicinal plants, reason why they have been studied in terms of chemical profile, biological activity, and safety. This review consolidates the advances in research on this subfamily over the past 47 years, emphasizing its promising ...

Catalytic CO2 Conversion and H2/Syngas Production via Thermal, Plasma, and Membrane Processes

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
In this review article, the recent progress of CO2 conversion and H2/syngas production via thermo‐catalytic, plasma‐assisted catalytic, and membrane‐assisted catalytic processes is covered. The reaction mechanism of each process is illustrated in detail based on the reaction category.
