Effect of Bazi Bushen Capsule on D‐Galactose‐Induced Human Endothelial Cell Senescence Through PI3K/Akt/eNOS Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Bazi Bushen capsule (BZBS) is an over‐the‐counter drug approved by China FDA with the function of nourishing the kidney, replenishing essence, and combating aging. In this study, we concluded that the PI3K/AKT/eNOS signaling pathway contributed to BZBS repair of endothelial dysfunctions induced by D‐galactose.

FIB‐3 index as a novel age‐independent predictor of liver fibrosis and prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma patients undergoing hepatectomy

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Fibrosis‐3 index (FIB‐3) can stratify the risk of the survival and the recurrence‐free survival. The FIB‐3 index is a reliable, age‐independent tool for assessing liver fibrosis and prognosis in HCC patients post‐hepatectomy. Its use may improve clinical outcomes and support personalized treatment strategies. Abstract Background Liver fibrosis is a key

Surgical and Oncological Outcomes of Conversion Surgery After Hepatic Arterial Infusion Chemotherapy for Initially Unresectable Locally Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Conversion surgery for HCC. ABSTRACT Background Since 2013, we have performed conversion surgery after hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) for initially unresectable locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (LA‐HCC). Methods Between 2013 and 2021, we assessed the surgical and oncological outcomes and pathological findings of patients with LA‐
