Unveiling the Combined Role of Heat and Light in the Photothermo‐catalytic Methanol Steam Reforming Over TiO2 and Pt/TiO2 Through Catalytic and In Situ DRIFTS Study

Heat and UV–vis light play complementary roles in methanol steam reforming over Pt/TiO2. Light promotes methanol activation and formate formation, while heat enables formate conversion and active‐site regeneration, resulting in enhanced H2 production and CO2 selectivity. Light builds the intermediates; heat helps light burn them off.
