Experimental Investigation of Various Type Absorber Plates for Solar

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2015
In this study, four different types’ absorber plates were designed and compared of their energetic performances. These absorber plates were formed as a flat plate (Type I), V-shaped (Type II), wedge-shaped (Type III) and wavy-shaped (Type IV).

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Sound radiation from perforated plates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Perforated plates are quite often used as a means of engineering noise control to reduce the sound radiated by structures. However, there appears to be a lack of representative models to determine the sound radiation from a perforated plate.

On the effective shear modulus of composite honeycomb sandwich panels [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Technical Review, 2016
In the presented paper the effective shear modulus of composite plates with honeycomb core is determined. This elastic coefficient represents one very important property, especially in constructions subjected to torsion and combined bending - torsion ...

Nonlinear postbuckling of eccentrically stiffened functionally graded plates and shallow shells

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics, 2011
The paper deals with the formulation of governing equations of eccentrically stiffened functionally graded plates and shallow shells based upon the classical shell theory and the smeared stiffeners technique taking into account geometrical nonlinearity ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Buckling of stepped thickness plates in the theory of plasticity [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions, 2011
The problem of buckling has been treated for a long time as a single rectangular field with different boundary conditions loaded with inplate loads and usually applying Levy method, when two opposite edges were always simply supported.

Influence of gender and age on haematological indicators of Polbar’s breed chickens [PDF]

open access: yesActa Veterinaria, 2013
The aim of the study was to determine the values of selected haematological indices of the Polbar breed of chickens by gender and age. There was a significant WBC difference in cocks and hens with age.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
