Adaptive Twisting Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces torque‐controlled twisting metamaterials as a transformative platform for adaptive crashworthiness. By combining multiscale predictive modeling with experimental validation on additively manufactured gyroids, it demonstrates tunable stiffness, collapse stress, and energy absorption.

Artificial Symbiosis for Bulk Production of Bacterial Cellulose Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐cultivation of the cellulose‐producing bacterium with the microalga enables bulk formation of bacterial cellulose under static incubation, with photosynthetically active oxygen‐generating sites throughout the medium. This symbiotic platform supports 3D cellulosic constructs with geometries dictated by the vessel shape.

Hydrogel Thermostat Inspired by Photoprotective Foliage Using Latent and Radiative Heat Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Guided by Populus alba foliage, this hydrogel latent‐radiative thermostat (LRT) actively balances latent and radiative heat fluxes. An LRT switches solar reflectance, maintains high mid‐IR emissivity, and reversibly evaporates/regenerates water, while titanium oxide (TiO2) nanoparticles toughen the film.

Multi-platform modelling of masonry infilled frames

Journal of Building Engineering, 2021
Abstract This paper presents a multi-platform simulation method for the modelling of reinforced concrete infilled frames . The method is developed for multi-scale modelling, where the frame is modelled in detail by two-dimensional elements while the infill wall is represented by equivalent struts.

Effectiveness of product recommendation framing on online retail platforms

Journal of Business Research, 2022
Online retailers often display product recommendations using recommendation framing or signage. Recommendation framing—such as customers who viewed this also viewed or compared similar items—reflects user- or product-related inputs used by the algorithmic product recommender system to identify products for a target customer.

Design of Cement Intelligent Control Platform's Overall Frame

2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2018
In most cement enterprises, the statistics of data of production, energy and control processes in the enterprises are all carried out by manpower. Data with low real-time and low accuracy also have low relative isolation characteristics, which brought production, energy, control analysis of the enterprises great difficulties.

Towards Implementation of Frame Preemption Mechanism on FPGA Platform

2020 19th International Symposium INFOTEH-JAHORINA (INFOTEH), 2020
Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) becomes a dominant technology, both in automotive networks and industrial communication systems. Recent amendments to IEEE 802.1 and 802.3 standards, delivered by several TSN working groups, allowed for deterministic and synchronized communication on top of Ethernet infrastructure.
