Platinum(II) and Platinum(IV) Bigunides
Chemistry Laboratories, Indian Institute of Technology; Kharagpur 72130-2, West Bengal. Several robust complexes of platinum(II) and platinum(IV) with biguanide (C2N5H7=BigH) having the composition [Pt(BigH2)]X2 and trans [Pt(OH)2(BigH)2X2 have been synthesised by the interaction of chlorides of platinum(II) and (IV) with alkaline biguanide.
