Advances in intracardiac impedance Plethysmography
[1990] Proceedings of the Twelfth Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2005Intracardiac impedance measurements in conjunction with microprocessor controlled signal processing and lead technology provide a great variety of practical applications, particularly for physiologic control of the pacing rate of implantable pulse generators.

Errors in four-electrode impedance plethysmography
Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, 1983The errors in electrical impedance plethysmography are not well known. In the paper errors due to inadequate instrumentation, improper electrode application, and physiological changes have been analysed. Minimum electrical requirements for a general purpose four-electrode instrument are: (a) input impedance of voltage-sensing circuit+4 kΩ; (b) output ...

Positional Factors in Venous Impedance Plethysmography
Archives of Surgery, 1973To determine whether leg position or distance between the inner electrodes affect the magnitude of impedance change during deep inspiration, 30 adult patients (60 limbs) were studied with the Minnesota Impedance Cardiograph. Phlebography was performed in 19 limbs and correlated with the impedance findings.

Wrist Photo-Plethysmography and Bio-Impedance Sensor for Cuff-Less Blood Pressure Monitoring
Italian National Conference on Sensors, 2018A multimodal wrist sensor system is proposed in this paper for a wearable reflectance photo-plethysmography (PPG) and impedance-plethysmography (IPG) biomedical data sensing.

Impedance Plethysmography: Correlation with Contrast Venography
Radiology, 1977Impedance plethysmography is a noninvasive, indirect test for deep venous occlusion in the lower limbs. The results of ascending contrast venography impedance plethysmography have been compared in 315 limbs. Impedance plethysmography was positive in 77 of 79 limbs with acute deep vein thrombosis proximal to the calf.

Electrical Impedance Plethysmography
Archives of Internal Medicine, 1962Plethysmography has proven to be a valuable method for studying the dynamics of peripheral vascular beds in normal and pathologic states and for evaluating the effects of drugs upon these beds. Refinements of the method, such as graded outflow hindrance and stopflow studies, have permitted separation of the pulsatile arterial inflow and venous runoff ...

IMPEDANCE PLETHYSMOGRAPHY IN STUDY OF PERIPHERAL CIRCULATION
Archives of Surgery, 1952DIGITAL pulse volume studies have proved of great value in the study of the peripheral circulation. The methods most commonly used have the disadvantage that they necessitate placing the digit in an airtight or watertight cylindrical compartment. In most of them the tracings are recorded on photographic paper, and analysis of data must wait until the ...
