Semi‐Transparent Organic Photodiodes with Near‐Infrared Detection Fabricated by Inkjet Printing
This work shows the inkjet printing of semi‐transparent and opaque organic photodiodes that enable light detection in the near‐infrared regime. Their transparency and high detection speed make them ideal for applications in soft robotics, wearable devices, and light communication systems.

Comparison among low-cost portable systems for thoracic impedance plethysmography [PDF]
Impedance plethysmography is a technique which allows the monitoring of respiratory activity through the measurement of variations in the trans-thoracic impedance. Provided the measurement system has enough sensitivity, the same technique can also detect

Serial impedance plethysmography for suspected deep venous thrombosis in outpatients. The Amsterdam General Practitioner Study [PDF]
Diagnosis of deep venous thrombosis by clinical signs and symptoms is unreliable, but contrast venography is relatively expensive and invasive. We therefore evaluated the use of impedance plethysmography as a noninvasive alternative in 426 consecutive ...

Issues Determining Direct Airways Hyperresponsiveness in Mice
Airways hyperresponsiveness (AHR) is frequently a primary outcome in mouse models of asthma. There are, however, a number of variables that may affect the outcome of such measurements and the interpretation of the results.

Lymphatic Abnormalities in Noonan Syndrome Extend Beyond Clinically Apparent Disease
ABSTRACT Lymphatic disease represents a well‐described manifestation of Noonan syndrome (NS), yet the full phenotypic spectrum remains incompletely characterized, especially in asymptomatic individuals. We conducted a cross‐sectional study including 10 individuals with NS (four with peripheral lymphedema and six without) and 10 age‐ and sex‐matched ...

Diagnostic efficacy of impedance plethysmography for clinically suspected deep-vein thrombosis. A randomized trial [PDF]
Impedance plethysmography is an accurate noninvasive method to test for proximal vein thrombosis, but it is insensitive to calf-vein thrombi. We randomly assigned patients on referral with clinically suspected deep-vein thrombosis and normal impedance ...
