A new member of Taphrosphyini (Pleurodira, Bothremydidae) from the Maastrichtian of Niger

Abstract A new pleurodiran turtle, corresponding to a bothremydid Taphrosphyini, is described in this paper. This form, Ilatardia cetiotesta gen. et sp. nov., is represented by a large skull, with a length of about 20 cm. It is one of the few Mesozoic representatives of Taphrosphyini known by the skull.
