The microbiota‐derived metabolite phenylacetylglutamine (PAGln) is elevated in type 2 diabetes and tightly associated with poor healing in both diabetic and non‐diabetic human patients. PAGln promotes mouse inflammation and impairs healing through a transmissible β2‐adrenergic receptor–mediated trained‐immunity loop.

Posterior cricoid region fluoroscopic findings: the posterior cricoid plication. [PDF]
The region posterior to the cricoid cartilage is challenging to assess fluoroscopically. The purpose of this investigation is to critically evaluate the posterior cricoid (PC) region on fluoroscopy and describe patterns of common findings.

The quantitative proteomic and phosphoproteomic profiling reveals dynamic phosphorylation regulation of sperm morphogenesis. Kinase‐substrate phosphorylation network and phosphorylation module analysis, followed by in vivo knockdown and knockout analysis, identify TTBK2 and CSNK1G1 as key regulators of morphogenesis, including head, flagellar, and ...

Toll-Like Receptor 4 Modulates Small Intestine Neuromuscular Function through Nitrergic and Purinergic Pathways [PDF]
Objective: Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play a pivotal role in the homeostatic microflora-host crosstalk. TLR4-mediated modulation of both motility and enteric neuronal survival has been reported mainly for colon with limited information on the role of ...
