Classifications on the travelling wave solutions to the (3+1)-dimensional generalized KP and Jimbo-Miwa equations

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2017
In this paper, we use the powerful tan(F (ξ)/ 2) -expansion method with the help of Wolfram Mathematica 9 to investigate the solution structures of two well-known nonlinear evolution equations, namely ; the (3+1)-dimensional generalized KP and the (3+1 ...

FCM and graphics technique based method for discontinuities occurrence analysis

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2015
To solve the disadvantages of strong subjectivity for traditional plot methods of grouping discontinuities, such as the pole isodensity map and the occurrence rose graph, and the lack of intuitionism for popular clustering methods, this article ...

Preliminary Analyses of Transmedia Adaptations of Pictorial Narratives and Aesthetic Pole Interpretations: Reflections on Theory [PDF]

open access: yesJiàoyù zīliào yǔ túshūguǎn xué, 2015
Transmedia narratives are a key topic of communication research. Transmedia adaptations occur when a narrator transposes an original work by using various media platforms.

Personal time in alternative and time travel narrative: The cases of Groundhog Day, Twelve Monkeys and 2001: A Space Odyssey

open access: yesAlphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media, 2012
In alternative and time travel narratives, our everyday conception of time is often challenged. Similarly, in counterfactual history, various parallel realities exist. In time travel narrative, it is possible to travel in the past or in the future.

Disruption of SETD3‐mediated histidine‐73 methylation by the BWCFF‐associated β‐actin G74S mutation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The β‐actin G74S mutation causes altered interaction of actin with SETD3, reducing histidine‐73 methylation efficiency and forming two distinct actin variants. The variable ratio of these variants across cell types and developmental stages contributes to tissue‐specific phenotypical changes. This imbalance may impair actin dynamics and mechanosensitive

Dimension Reduction Regression in R

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2002
Regression is the study of the dependence of a response variable y on a collection predictors p collected in x. In dimension reduction regression, we seek to find a few linear combinations β1x,...,βdx, such that all the information about the regression ...

Insights into pegRNA design from editing of the cardiomyopathy‐associated phospholamban R14del mutation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how prime editing guide RNA (pegRNA) secondary structure and reverse transcriptase template length affect prime editing efficiency in correcting the phospholamban R14del cardiomyopathy‐associated mutation. Insights support the design of structurally optimized enhanced pegRNAs for precise gene therapy.
