A Robotic Testing Platform for Pipelined Discovery of Resilient Dielectric Elastomer Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a robotic testing platform enabling high‐throughput, multi‐parameter lifetime mapping of linear dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs). By integrating programmable high‐voltage control and automated electromechanical measurements, the system identifies material and operating conditions that double actuator lifetime.

HawkEye Conv-Driven YOLOv10 with Advanced Feature Pyramid Networks for Small Object Detection in UAV Imagery

open access: yesDrones
Current mainstream computer vision algorithms focus on designing suitable network architectures and loss functions to fit training data. However, the accuracy of small object detection remains lower than for other scales, and the design of convolution ...

Bioadhesive‐Integrated 3D‐Printed Multilayer Scaffolds Secure a Mechanically‐Stable Osteoimmune Niche for Enhanced Bone Augmentation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A 3D‑printed multilayer adhesive scaffold, firmly anchored to bone defects by simple finger pressing, suppresses micromotion and secures mechanical stability of the osteogenic niche. This stabilization likely contributes to the enhanced bone augmentation by fostering a pro‑regenerative mechano‐immune profile—characterized by M2‑like macrophage ...

OTUD6A‐Mediated Deubiquitination of PRDX1 Protects Against Oral Ulcer by Restoring Mitochondrial Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In human oral keratinocytes, OTUD6A promoted cell migration by deubiquitinating and stabilizing PRDX1. Conversely, OTUD6A deficiency reduced PRDX1 stability, triggering mitochondrial dysfunction and aggravating OU progression. ABSTRACT Oral ulcers (OU), as the most highly prevalent and recurrent oral mucosal lesion, have an unclear pathogenesis that ...

A box quadrat for standardised sampling of Orthoptera in open habitats: Design, handling, applications and baseline data

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Conservation
Globally, insects are declining at an alarming rate. Therefore, there is an urgent need for standardised monitoring methods to detect changes in insect populations at an early stage.

Quality sampling using coiled tubing drilling in deep mineral exploration

open access: yes, 2012
The sampling time, the costs and its quality are the three factors that determine the best method of drilling in mineral exploration. The two principal methods of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond core drilling are often used in combination by mine ...

Genome‐Wide and Multi‐Omics Analysis Identified DNA‐Interacting Circular RNA circFOXK2 as MLL1 Regulator for Histone H3K4 Methylation in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Circular RNA circFOXK2 is frequently upregulated in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to promote tumor heterogeneity, growth, and metastasis. Through circRNA‐DNA interaction at different genomic locations, circFOXK2 removes the PPIE inhibitory effects on MLL1 for gene‐activating H3K4 methylation of the oncogenes.

The Plug-in Approach for Average-Reward and Discounted MDPs: Optimal Sample Complexity Analysis

open access: yesCoRR
We study the sample complexity of the plug-in approach for learning $\varepsilon$-optimal policies in average-reward Markov decision processes (MDPs) with a generative model. The plug-in approach constructs a model estimate then computes an average-reward optimal policy in the estimated model.

Programmed Interfacial Phase Separation for Spatiotemporal Fungicide Delivery via Tunable Micro/Nano Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Translating dynamic liquid‐liquid phase separation into robust solid‐state architectures remains a challenge in materials engineering. Here, we report a composition‐driven interfacial assembly strategy that couples supramolecular coacervation with metal‐phenolic coordination to engineer tunable fungicide carriers.

Herbivory‐Induced Stomatal Opening Triggers the Dispersal of an Invasive Insect Herbivore

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The invasive leafminer Phthorimaea absoluta uniquely manipulates plant defenses by inducing stomatal opening in tomato. This response, mediated by the stomatal regulator IQM1, enhances the release of the repellent volatile benzaldehyde. This volatile triggers the dispersal of adult moths, facilitates colonization of new hosts, and leads to rapid ...
