A Thickness‐Invariant Origami Robot With Integrated Actuation and Multimodal Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A thickness‐invariant variation on the Yoshimura origami pattern is used as the basis of a robot, allowing power, actuation, and control systems to be embedded within the thickened panels of the pattern. The robot uses multiple kinematic branches to achieve distinct modes of locomotion, such as walking, running, galloping, and turning. ABSTRACT Origami

An Injectable ROS‐Responsive Nanozyme Hydrogel Regulates the Uterine Microenvironment to Prevent Intrauterine Adhesions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The injectable CeTA@GPP hydrogel is administered via intrauterine injection, forming a protective barrier. In the high ROS inflammatory microenvironment of injured endometrium, boronate ester cleavage triggers responsive CeTA release and local enrichment.

NSUN2‐Mediated m5C Modification of TGFB1 in Trophoblasts Remodels Macrophage Function to Prevent URSA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NSUN2 and m5C decline in URSA villous tissues. Trophoblast Nsun2 ablation disrupts macrophage‐mediated maternal‐fetal tolerance and triggers embryo resorption. Mechanistically, NSUN2‐YBX1 axis stabilizes m5C‐modified TGFB1 mRNA to maintain TGF‐β1 secretion and M2 polarization, and restoring this signaling rescues maternal‐fetal immune tolerance to ...

Fast and Flexible Sampling-Based Local Replanning for Single-Query Paths in Unknown Environments

open access: yesProceedings of the International Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society Conference
Path planning in unknown environments remains a challenging research problem in autonomous robotics. Although single-query path planning algorithms such as Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT) and its variants have been proven effective in environments ...

Intelligent Programmable Membrane Nanosponge for Early Virus Blocking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A smart programmable nanosponge (ACNPs) displays high‐density viral receptors on its membrane and encapsulates fusion inhibitors to capture virions at the infection source through competitive binding and blocks their entry through protease inhibition for ultra‐early cascade interception. This modular, mucus‐penetrating platform shifts antiviral defence

Phase Separation of SF3B1 Serves as a Critical Post‐Transcriptional Regulator During Early Mouse Embryogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation of SF3B1 acts as a key regulatory mechanism for dynamic alternative splicing throughout early mouse embryogenesis. Its absence triggers extensive splicing errors, which induce persistent DNA damage, defective cell cycle progression, and failed cell lineage commitment, and ultimately hinder the normal growth and development of ...

Investigating Environmental DNA Variability and Species Detections Through Passive and Active Sampling Across Time: A Case Study From a Hyper‐Diverse Coastal System

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA
The conservation of biodiversity is fundamental for the persistence of ecosystems, particularly under climate change. The South African marine environment is characterized by high levels of biodiversity as well as endemism, but species distribution ...

Rotational Sampling: A Plug-and-Play Encoder for Rotation-Invariant 3D Molecular GNNs

open access: yesCoRR
Graph neural networks (GNNs) have achieved remarkable success in molecular property prediction. However, traditional graph representations struggle to effectively encode the inherent 3D spatial structures of molecules, as molecular orientations in 3D space introduce significant variability, severely limiting model generalization and robustness ...
