LEGIONELLA PNEUMOPHILA IN WATER PLUMBING SYSTEMS
The Lancet, 1982Abstract Evidence for the presence of Legionella pneumophila was obtained from the water plumbing systems of 17 of 52 hotels, none of which was associated with cases of human disease. Of a total of 170 samples of water examined, 10 yielded L. pneumophila and a further 19 probably also contained it. No serogroup was predominant.
